Three groups of foundation stage children visited Kempston library today. All of foundation stage, year 1 and 2 will be visiting over the next few weeks. If you have not joined the library, please pop along with some ID and complete an application form. It is free to join and you can borrow up to 10 books at a time. The library also have access to a very wide range of online audio and book collections, again all free of charge.
In the space of 20 minutes at lunchtime, there was hail, rain and sun. Then two rainbows appeared! Mr S was very quick with his camera and just managed to catch them. The children thought it was great!
Brain Smart Day 2020
The new term began with another fantastic Brain Smart Day. Groups of children enjoyed a walk around the river, exploring winter art, designing and building, music, science, PE, a mystery hunt around Kempston, activities around the story character Elmer, mindfulness, cooking and board games!

Sustrans’ Christmas Scoot

Join Sustrans in a Scoot to Santa
Meet at the cafe in Priory Marina, Bedford between 10am and 11am to start our easy 1 mile scoot along the lake side to meet Father Christmas. Then return to the cafe for a warm drink and Christmas bite to eat kindly provided by Cloverdale Retreat Cafe.
Buggies, walkers and scooters welcome, no bikes please.
Year 5 Carol Service

A lovely Saturday morning for the annual Christmas fair. There were lots of Christmas treats and fun to be had. This event was organised by the PTFA and made £600!
The school choir bring Christmas cheer!
The school choir have been very busy with Mrs. Caunt this week singing at both Parkside residential home and St. Paul’s Church for the Christmas tree festival.
Bedford Road Christmas Fair
The PTFA have come up with another fantastic idea to raise money in school – The Penny War!
Each class has a jar, which they need to fill up with pennies. The first one to fill it to the top will win a class prize of their choice.
A beetle drive was held on Saturday afternoon for all members of school. There were lots of laughs and sighs of frustration! Look out for other events that you might enjoy.
Children in Need 2019
All the children wore odd socks to support Children in Need 2019. A fantastic total of £227 was raised!
